Wheel Lug Bolt Patterns vary but in general terms wheels such as the one made by American RacingCenterlineADR Design etc. have either a 4, 5 or 6 bolt pattern or circle.
Some wheels have 2 different bolt patterns. This way one wheel type can be mounted on many different vehicles.

5 bolt hole patterns
With a five bolt hole pattern, measure from the center of one wheel bolt hole to the center of the farthest bolt hole skipping the adjacent hole. The resulting measurement is slightly smaller than the actual wheel bolt hole circle diameter. For most wheels it's about 1/4 of an inch. 5 bolt hole patterns have a bit of trigonometry involved. There are several online 5 bolt hole pattern calculators available on the Internet. Just do a simple Google search.
